Dental Implants

Dental implants are one of the most effective, aesthetic and cost efficient ways to replace missing teeth. Used to support a single crown, bridge containing two or more teeth or a denture covering your entire upper or lower jaw, implants offer a long term, holistic solution and most importantly, help to bring back that confident smile.

What is a Dental Implant?

Implants ensure natural, long lasting smiles through small “fixtures” that take the place of the natural root of the tooth. Gently implanted under local anaesthetic, the titanium ‘roots’ bond with a patient’s bone, providing more stability than a natural tooth’s root. Then we are able to create your perfect smile, with elegant, durable, custom shaded and personally shaped and fitted teeth.

How long does the procedure take and is it painful?

Implants are applied in comfortable surroundings under local anaesthetic, meaning an almost pain-free procedure, with occasional swelling and/or tenderness for a few days post- surgery.

The entire process and the building of the new teeth can be accomplished in as little as three months, though the upper teeth or replacing a complete denture with permanent teeth normally requires five to six months.

Are you a candidate for dental implants?

Anyone missing one or more of their teeth due to injury, disease, or decay may be a candidate for dental implants. Adequate bone in your jaw is needed to support the implant(s) along with healthy gum tissues, so please book an initial consultation with Dr Clare Perrell- Jones to ensure you are suitable for implants.
